President Trump on Friday urged U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro \u201crevisit\u201d her decision to drop charges against an accused Reflecting Pool vandal after new photos shared on social media, showed clear signs of vandalism.<\/p>

The Department of Justice dismissed the case on August 1 after the Department of the Interior had concluded there were many flaws with the renovation project, including\u00a0 lining that appeared to begin peeling days after installation.<\/p>\n

The president on Monday railed against the decision, telling reporters in the Oval Office that Pirro had \u201cmade a mistake,\u201d and insisting \u201cthere was vandalism.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump conceded that he was not \u201c100 percent thrilled with the contractor,\u201d but made clear that he was disappointed in Pirro.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrankly, I think she choked,\u201d Trump said. \u201cBecause the judge was really vicious. Instead of going after the people that did it, the judge went after her and went after her department, and I guess she choked. I don\u2019t know what the hell happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was disappointed with Jeanine Pirro!\u201d Trump later fumed. \u201cReally disappointed with Jeanne Pirro! She folded like an umbrella! And people get away with things, and it\u2019s a disgrace!\u201d<\/p>\n

The president, met with Pirro later Monday, according to Politico, and told reporters Tuesday night, he hadn\u2019t yet made a decision on whether to fire her.<\/p>\n

In an interview with NBC News Thursday, Trump reiterated that Pirro had made a \u201cterrible mistake\u201d and insisted \u201cthere was tremendous vandalism.\u201d<\/p>\n

Freelance photographer journalist Andrew Leyden shared the previously unseen photos of the damage on social media, Friday.<\/p>

\u201cCuts in the expansion joints on the side of the Reflecting Pool are visible today after NPS removed a fence that has blocked the view since June,\u201d Leyden wrote on X. \u201cThe contractor reported this to Park Police as vandalism but we have not been able to photograph until now due to the fences.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leyden, a photojournalist for The New York Times<\/em>, has extensively documented the Reflecting Pool\u2019s condition and has concluded that the damage stemmed from construction flaws rather than vandalism.<\/p>\n

In his Truth Social post Friday, Trump reiterated his claim that the material was cut \u201c300 feet or more\u201d and people were seen on video \u201con their knees with their hands in the water\u201d cutting the liner exactly where the photos show the damage. The president also launched an attack on the defense team, labeling notorious lead attorney Norm Eisen a \u201cTRUMP DERANGED SLEAZEBAG\u201d and \u201ccomplete LUNATIC.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eisen, who served as special counsel during Trump\u2019s first impeachment in 2019, has filed or worked on over two dozen lawsuits against Trump.<\/p>\n

Trump further alleged that the \u201cgentleman involved,\u201d former Olympian David Hearn, is a \u201cbig player\u201d in ActBlue, the notoriously sketchy Democrat fundraising platform co-founded by Eisen. ActBlue is currently under active investigation by multiple congressional Republican committees over alleged fraudulent donations, illicit foreign contributions, money laundering, and obstruction of congressional probes.<\/p>\n

Additionally, in October 2024, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) petitioned the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to take immediate action to \u201cclose fundraising loopholes that jeopardize American election integrity\u201d following his investigation into ActBlue.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that people are able to see it up close, they are reporting pure VANDALISM at The Reflecting Pool, Trump posted on Truth Social. \u201cThank you Andrew Leyden for your observation!\u201d<\/p>\n

The material was cut right where the video tape showed, for 300 feet or more. People were on their knees with their hands in the water at the exact location of the \u201cslashes.\u201d Additionally, there were witnesses to the VANDALISM, and the flexible areas of the material were cut with a knife. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro should re-visit her hastily made decision, especially since it turned out that the \u201cgentleman\u201d involved is a big player in ActBlue, a disgraceful fundraising SCAM, and is represented by a TRUMP DERANGED SLEAZEBAG, Political Hack Lawyer, Norm Eisen, and CREW, a group that uses \u201ccharity\u201d for political purposes which is, to the best of my knowledge, ILLEGAL!
