Disappointment and despair are mounting in the MAHA movement after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Moderna\u2019s controversial mRNA flu shot.\u00a0Several FDA officials who initially refused to consider Moderna\u2019s mFlusiva vaccine\u2014Dr. Marty Makary, Dr. Vinay Prasad, and Dr. Tracy Beth Hoeg\u2014are no longer with the FDA.<\/p>\n

Makary resigned as FDA Commissioner on May 12, reportedly due to a dispute with the White House over flavored e-cigarettes. A White House official told FOX News back in May that Makary\u2019s resignation was about \u201cprocess at the FDA\u201d and that there was \u201cno bad blood\u201d between Makary and President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

Hoeg, acting director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, was fired in May 2026 following Makary\u2019s exit. Hoeg, a key ally of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr., was known for her vaccine skepticism, and opposition to COVID-19 injections for children.<\/p>\n

Prasad resigned as head of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) in April following intense scrutiny and criticism from drug-makers, patients, and President Trump over his refusal to rush through several rare disease gene therapies and his efforts to enforce stricter safety reviews for vaccines.<\/p>\n

Prasad was previously forced out of office in July 2025 after less than three months in office, following a dispute over the gene therapy Elevidys and intense pressure from the White House. He was reinstated just two weeks later in August 2025 at the request of FDA leadership and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/p>\n

David Kaslow MD, who replaced Prasad at CBER, approved Moderna\u2019s mRNA flu shot on Aug. 5.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the FDA, Dr. Kaslow was the Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of Essential Medicines at PATH, an international global health organization heavily funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation and based in Seattle, Washington.<\/p>\n

The mFlusiva shot was approved on an accelerated basis, meaning Moderna only needed to submit preliminary, short-term data. The full study doesn\u2019t end until 2030.<\/p>\n

Vaccine critics say that among other \u201cegregious subterfuges, cheats and poor design practices\u201d in Moderna\u2019s clinical trial, the company didn\u2019t use a true placebo, but instead compared the mRNA shot to a traditional flu vaccine, in other words they compared \u201cone bad vaccine with another.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a phase 3 trial of over 40,000 people aged 50 or older, the Moderna mRNA shot demonstrated slightly better (0.8 percent) vaccine efficacy versus the traditional vaccine, but recipients suffered significantly higher adverse events.<\/p>\n

Nearly two-thirds (65.8 percent) of mFlusiva recipients experienced injection-site pain, compared to roughly 30\u201334 percent for the traditional vaccine. Approximately 45 percent reported fatigue and 38 percent reported headaches after the Moderna shot\u2014nearly twice as many cases of fatigue and headaches observed in traditional vaccines.<\/p>\n

Muscle pain, joint pain, and chills were also more frequent in the mFlusiva group.<\/p>\n

Serious events linked to the Moderna vaccine included a case of fainting, a case of low blood pressure that led to a three-day hospitalization and a case of perimyocarditis, or inflammation of the lining of the heart and the heart muscle.<\/p>\n

A concerning number of recipients suffered serious adverse events (SAE) likely requiring hospitalization, according to the trial data analyzed by medical investigative journalist Maryanne Demasi, PHD.<\/p>\n

\n

The six-month data show that 449 participants in the mRNA group experienced at least one SAE, compared with 389 in the conventional group\u2014an excess of 60 people.<\/p>\n

So, while the pivotal trial showed there were 4 fewer influenza hospitalisations in the mRNA group, 60 additional people experienced an SAE.<\/p>\n

SAEs are not mild events\u2014they are usually severe enough to require hospitalisation, threaten life, cause significant disability, or result in death.<\/p>\n

The imbalance of SAEs in Moderna\u2019s pivotal trial was statistically significant\u2014meaning it was unlikely to be a random fluke.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Demasi argues in her Substack report that the FDA used a \u201cstatistical sleight-of-hand\u201d to make the significant safely signals in Moderna\u2019s flu shot disappear.<\/p>\n

\u201cVaccine regulation is broken,\u201d Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo, the surgeon general of Florida, lamented on X.<\/p>\n

Vaccine safety advocate Steve Kirsch commented on X that Moderna\u2019s flu vaccine \u201cis not going to save your life, but it might kill you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Brownstone Institute\u2019s Dr. Toby Rogers summed up on X what many vaccine critics have been saying about Moderna\u2019s latest mRNA shot:<\/p>\n

\n

\u2022 Far more harms than benefits.
\n\u2022 Will kill thousands of seniors every year.
\n\u2022 The regulatory decision was purchased via a big donation to the GOP.
\n\u2022 Sec. Kennedy was humiliated, again.
\n\u2022 The vaccinated will shed on us.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Rogers called \u201cOperation Warp Speed,\u201d the Trump administration\u2019s well intentioned but misguided effort to speed up the development of the COVID vaccines in 2020, \u201cthe most egregious crime in U.S. history.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

The Moderna mRNA flu shot is worse. It institutionalizes the carnage of the COVID vaccine holocaust via annual flu shots. The purpose of these shots is to increase disease and thereby increase profits for Pharma.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Many in the \u201cMAHA\u201d movement are now questioning why Kennedy,\u00a0 a staunch critic of mRNA technology who has called the COVID injections \u201cthe deadliest vaccine ever made,\u201d would allow this to happen.<\/p>\n

Under RFK Jr., Health and Human Services HHS last year canceled nearly $500 million in funding for mRNA vaccine research, but Big Pharma appears to have powerful allies in the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

When asked about Kennedy\u2019s opinion on mFlusiva\u2019s approval, a spokesperson for HHS said: \u201cSecretary Kennedy has been clear that he believes mRNA products warrant heightened scientific scrutiny. That\u2019s why this vaccine is entering the market with some of the strongest post-market study commitments FDA has required, particularly for individuals 65 years of age and older.\u201d<\/p>\n
