A coalition of far-left agitators is planning to protest the 2026 Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas, next month, sparking concerns about security.<\/p>

The Dallas Against the Trump Agenda coalition includes the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression (NAARPR), the DFW Anti-War Committee, El Movimiento and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO). The agitators are seeking permits, lining up legal support, organizing training, and making signs, according to the Dallas Morning News.<\/em><\/p>\n

There is also a strong Antifa presence in the Dallas area, but they may be on their heels after eight members of a North Texas Antifa cell were recently hit with maximum or near-maximum federal prison terms amounting to a combined 450 years in prison.<\/p>\n

Organizers of the protest reportedly say they want the GOP\u2019s convention to include voices beyond those of \u201cpoliticians, billionaires and Republican Party officials.\u201d<\/p>\n

President Trump on Wednesday urged fellow Republicans to attend the convention at American Airline Center in downtown Dallas on September 9 and 10,\u00a0 calling it \u201cTHE GREATEST RALLY OF THEM ALL.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the first time EVER, Republicans from all across our Great Country will come together for a Midterm Convention to celebrate our Tremendous Victories and Success, showcase our incredible Candidates, and prepare for the most important Midterm Election in History,\u201d Trump posted on Truth Social.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Radical Left Lunatics are trying to destroy our Country, but they have failed, and will never be successful, unless we allow that to happen \u2014 AND WE WON\u2019T!\u201d the president added.<\/p>\n

Many of the Republican attendees will be walking to the American Airline Center from hotels blocks away as far-left agitators swarm downtown Dallas.<\/p>\n

Dallas police told the Morning News<\/em> the department \u201cis aware of the planned demonstrations but has not announced protest zones or a march route.\u201d Spokesperson Corbin Rubinson said officials will release details about security perimeters\u2014including maps of traffic impacts\u00a0and detours\u2014at a later date.<\/p>\n

The NAARPR is a radical activist organization that focuses on issues it considers to be racist or targeting poor communities, according to Influence Watch.<\/p>\n

The group praised the violent protests following the death of George Floyd in 2021, referring to them as the \u201cGeorge Floyd Rebellion.\u201d NAARPR also supports the release of imprisoned members of the Black Panther Party and has called for divestment from Israel.<\/p>\n

The group was formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1973, in part to free radical-left activist and founding member Angela Davis from charges of kidnapping, conspiracy, and murder.<\/p>\n

The DFW Anti-War Committee, which describes itself as \u201ca grassroots organization working to end our country\u2019s many wars,\u201d urged fellow radicals on Facebook to join \u201cour contingent for the March on the Republican National Convention!\u201d<\/p>\n

The group said it would meet at 1:00 pm. on Sept. 10, at Pike Park, just one block from the venue.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis September we are going to show the Trump regime that they are not welcome in Dallas!\u201d the group said in its Facebook post.<\/p>\n

Apparently under the impression that the purpose of the convention is to nominate a presidential candidate, the group added:\u00a0 \u201cJoin us for a protest on the Republican Midterm Convention, where the ruling class will choose their new king, as we stand up and fight back for our communities here in Dallas-Fort Worth.\u201d<\/p>

Jo Hargis of the DFW Anti-War Committee told the Dallas Morning News<\/em> that\u00a0\u201cpeople are welcome from all around the country to join in this protest.\u201d<\/p>\n

El Movimiento DFW is a radical anti-ICE organization that describes itself as \u201ca grassroots movement building people power and community defense in the DFW metroplex.\u201d<\/p>\n

The group says it brings together \u201cactivists, neighbors, and local organizations to educate, connect, and take action against injustice,\u201d which to them, amounts to any immigration enforcement and police activity.<\/p>\n

The FRSO is a self-described socialist and communist organization with a nationwide membership and chapters. The organization, which seeks to build a new communist party\u00a0 based on Marxism-Leninism, encouraged voters in swing districts to support Democrat Party candidates in the 2022 midterm elections, according to Influence Watch.<\/p>\n

The group helped organize protests on the streets of Minneapolis last winter that led to the ICE-involved shootings of two agitators.<\/p>\n

According to Kyle Shideler, Director and Senior Analyst for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism at the Center for Security Policy, FRSO was investigated by the FBI after an undercover police source provided them with some alarming information.<\/p>\n

The informant told the feds \u201cthey were stockpiling arms for the revolution and had close ties to terror groups PFLP [The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine] and FARC [Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia],\u201d Shideler reported on X.<\/p>\n

He noted that FRSO still has ties to PFLP and CPP\/NPA [Communist Party of the Philippines-New People\u2019s Army] terrorists.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs of 2015 the FBI still assessed that FRSO supported PFLP, NPA and FARC and described their behavior as consistent with that of trying to overthrow the U.S. government,\u201d Shideler said.<\/p>\n
