{"id":1714,"date":"2026-08-27T10:09:58","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T10:09:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/urbaneconomynews.com\/?p=1714"},"modified":"2026-08-27T10:09:58","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T10:09:58","slug":"feds-chinese-hackers-broke-into-doj-nasa-federal-reserve-senate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/urbaneconomynews.com\/?p=1714","title":{"rendered":"Feds: Chinese Hackers Broke Into DoJ, NASA, Federal Reserve, Senate"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The Justice Department announced Wednesday that federal authorities seized internet domains associated with two Chinese hacking platforms used to target some of the nation\u2019s most sensitive government institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/urbaneconomynews.com\/?p=1712\">Morning Greatness: Trial for Alleged 9\/11 Mastermind, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, Scheduled for 2028<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The platforms, known as QScan and QTRouter, were operated by a Chinese state-sponsored hacking group called QTFY, according to the Justice Department.<\/p>\n<p>Federal officials said QTFY was employed by China-based Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company and provided computer intrusion services to paying customers, including China\u2019s Ministry of State Security and People\u2019s Liberation Army.<\/p>\n<p>The hacking tools allowed malicious actors to infiltrate computer systems while concealing the country from which the attacks originated, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>Among the targets were the Justice Department, NASA, Federal Reserve and U.S. Senate.
