The American Airlines passenger disturbance that ended with a man restrained to his seat with duct tape and zip ties, involved world-renowned Messianic rabbi, pastor, speaker and author Jonathan Cahn.<\/p>

American Airlines Flight 618\u2014Dallas-Fort Worth-to-Newark\u2014took off from Texas on September 3 and was diverted to Baltimore\/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport after passenger Arthur Lundeen, 67, allegedly became disruptive, spewing profanities and racial slurs and physically assaulting the passenger next to him.<\/p>\n

That passenger was Jonathan Cahn, who believes the attack was linked to the release of his new book, \u201cThe Altar of Pergamon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s more to this story than the media will ever tell you,\u201d Cahn said in a viral YouTube video Monday. \u201cThere is more to this story than even the people on the plane realized, or the crew realized, or the FBI realized when they came on.\u201d<\/p>\n

The best-selling author claimed that upon the release of about ten of his eleven books, \u201cstrange things\u201d have happened to him to \u201cstop the books from going forth,\u201d or to stop him from speaking about them.<\/p>\n

Cahn said the only time he\u2019s ever been in the hospital has been upon the release of his books.<\/p>\n

The day before the release of the \u201cAltar of Pergamon,\u201d he said \u201ca large vertical, rectangular block of darkness\u201d appeared on his computer screen. Cahn said he does all of his writing and research on that laptop, as well as remote interviews. He said he tried to work around the black blotch but had to begin relying on his cell phone, which also began to malfunction.<\/p>\n

He also said that Amazon and another company held back thousands of books that were preordered, instead of sending them out.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmazon could not explain it\u2014not to this day,\u201d Cahn stated.<\/p>\n

He was embarking on a book tour to promote \u201cThe Altar of Pergamon\u201d on American Airlines Flight 618 when his seat assignment was changed at the last minute for him to sit next to Lundeen.<\/p>\n

Juan Mejia, a passenger on the flight and a former law enforcement officer, told several news outlets that he began hearing a disturbance about three-quarters of the way through the flight.<\/p>\n

That tracks with Cahn\u2019s incredible version of events.<\/p>\n

The author said he and Lundeen had been engaged in pleasant conversation about his books and his life for most of the trip. In fact, Lundeen allegedly said his wife was a great reader and would probably love his books. But when Cahn began mentioning the gospel, the man\u2019s tone and demeanor dramatically changed and he became belligerent.<\/p>\n

Lundeen allegedly told Cahn repeatedly \u201cit\u2019s all bullsh-t,\u201d and \u201cJesus is bullsh-t.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have never seen someone change in a split second from light to dark as I saw then, as if something had taken him over,\u201d Cahn said. \u201cHe went from the friendliest guy in the world to this dark person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lundeen allegedly told the author to go f-ck himself, shocking Cahn, who thought he had just been engaged in friendly banter.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was filled with fury and rage and hatred,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was as if it wasn\u2019t his hatred or rage, but someone else\u2019s\u2014speaking, acting through him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cahn said he believed without question that \u201cit was the hated and rage and the fury of the enemy.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Lundeen\u2019s outburst, Cahn said he tried to \u201cdisengage\u201d and immerse himself in his work.<\/p>\n

He said he took out his computer, which still had the dark patch and decided to work around it. While he was working, he said he could feel Lundeen staring at him with rage.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then in a split second he changes back and he tries to engage me in a friendly conversation,\u201d Cahn said, adding that this time, he just gave short, curt responses, and tried to stay focused on his work.<\/p>\n

Lundeen again started spewing profanities, this time cursing God, and cursing Jesus, Cahn said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tell him, shh! You\u2019re going to get in trouble,\u201d Cahn recalled.\u00a0 \u201cYou don\u2019t want to say those things. We\u2019re all going to stand before Him.\u201d<\/p>

But Lundeen became increasingly aggressive, smacking his laptop to make the darkness spread more across his computer.<\/p>\n

According to witnesses, the 67-year-old appeared drunk when he began acting up.<\/p>\n

Cahn acknowledged that Lundeen had enjoyed \u201ca drink or two,\u201d but said that didn\u2019t explain his bizarre behavior.<\/p>\n

\u201c[The] gentleman sitting two rows behind us started becoming belligerent, making derogatory remarks to the staff of American Airlines and other passengers, racial slurs, vulgar language, very offensive to the women\u201d sitting in the row behind him, Mejia told ABC News.<\/p>\n

Lundeen went back and forth between normal chatting and raging, Cahn said, making vulgar and racist comments about other people on the plane, including the flight attendant.<\/p>\n

At one point, he reached over and put his hands around Cahn\u2019s throat as if to choke him.<\/p>\n

Cahn said that Lundeen was also \u201ctriggered\u201d by the cover of \u201cThe Altar of Pergamon,\u201d which shows a demonic entity looming in the background.<\/p>\n

Cahn said Lundeen began yelling again and \u201ccursing Jesus,\u201d in a manner that seemed to come from \u201cthe pit of Hell.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lundeen allegedly told Cahn, \u201cI\u2019m going to punch your Jewish face in,\u201d and started hitting him in the chest.<\/p>\n

Cahn said he tried to get up from his seat with his laptop and cell phone, but Lundeen lunged violently at him \u201cas if he had a mission that he had to destroy that computer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe grabs the laptop violently trying to wrest it out of my hand,\u201d Cahn continued, convinced that Lundeen was trying to destroy it.<\/p>\n

As the plane was preparing for an emergency landing, Cahn said he had to fight a tug-of-war with Lundeen for his laptop.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was pulling it with all his might, I\u2019m pulling it with all my might,\u201d Cahn said. \u201cThe plane was in shock.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is written, \u2018we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities of evil in heavenly places,’\u201d Cahn added.<\/p>\n

The author said he was able to finally wrest the laptop away from Lundeen and in a \u201clast surge of anger,\u201d he violently grabs his left arm, which was still recovering from a previous injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd now my arm is as injured as it was it was on the day I fell on it,\u201d he said, saying it felt dislocated.<\/p>\n

Mejia and two other men came forward to restrain Lundeen, who had started screaming in a way that \u201csounded unhuman,\u201d Cahn said.<\/p>\n
