The altercation started when the track and field championship event was delayed due to thunderstorms and heavy downpours and Anthony crashed the Memorial team\u2019s tent. Hunter Metcalf, Austin\u2019s twin brother, told Anthony to leave the tent. During the argument that ensued, Anthony allegedly said, \u201cTouch me and see what happens,\u201d while reaching his hand into his backpack. Multiple students labeled Anthony as the aggressor.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony\u2019s family set up a crowdfunding campaign on GiveSendGo to pay for legal defense, raising over $515,000 by May 1, 2025.
