{"id":381,"date":"2026-06-10T18:11:28","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T18:11:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/urbaneconomynews.com\/?p=381"},"modified":"2026-06-10T18:11:28","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T18:11:28","slug":"report-karmelo-anthony-supporters-harassed-metcalf-family-outside-courthouse-following-guilty-verdict","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/urbaneconomynews.com\/?p=381","title":{"rendered":"Report: Karmelo Anthony Supporters Harassed Metcalf Family Outside Courthouse Following Guilty Verdict"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Karmelo Anthony supporters heckled and harassed members of Austin Metcalf\u2019s family as they left the Collin County Courthouse in McKinney, Texas, Tuesday evening, screeching they were \u201cglad Austin is dead\u201d and \u201cyou guys knew he was a racist bully.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/urbaneconomynews.com\/?p=379\">DHS Directs ICE to Deport Illegal Aliens Who Vote in American Elections<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Anthony, 19, was convicted earlier Tuesday of first-degree murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf during a confrontation at a high school track meet in April 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Online footage shows the enraged mob following and harassing the Metcalf family as they walked from the courthouse to their car following the sentencing.<\/p>\n<p>Because the video clearly showed their faces and identifying details of their vehicle, the victim\u2019s family have requested that it be taken down, according to Texas-based journalist Sarah Fields on X.<\/p>\n<p>Local law enforcement is reportedly aware of the harassment.<\/p>\n<p>Karmelo Anthony supporters waged a short-lived protest outside the courthouse Tuesday evening, where one woman actually called for the murder of other members of the Metcalf family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth of the brothers should have been dead if you ask me,\u201d\u00a0 she yelled.<\/p>\n<p>Other mortifying comments were also caught on video including: \u00a0\u201cIf he was white, we wouldn\u2019t even be here today. It would have never came to court. It would have never been no handcuffs. We wouldn\u2019t be here today!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anthony supporters also erected a sign outside the courthouse that read: \u201cKarmelo Anthony: As long as you don\u2019t touch me, we cool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At around 8:30 p.m., a Collin County judge ordered everyone to clear the area, and soon after, deputies drove around the parking lot ordering all to leave in 15 minutes, independent journalist Nick Sortor reported on X.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithin just 15 MINUTES of a judge ordering the Collin County Courthouse parking lot closed, Karmelo Anthony\u2019s deranged supporters have VACATED,\u201d Sortor later reported. \u201cThe parking lot is CLEARED. They KNOW deputies and McKinney police DO NOT PLAY.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Deputies\u00a0 took at least two men into custody outside the courthouse shortly after the verdict was announced, Fox 4 reported.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/urbaneconomynews.com\/?p=377\">Morning Greatness: Trump Orders Hits on Iranian Targets After Helicopter Downing<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Multiple black conservatives registered their disgust with their own community following the events surrounding the conviction of Karmelo Anthony.<\/p>\n<p>Florida-based Pastor Jordan Wells posted a heartfelt statement on X:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I see protesters outside the Collin County Courthouse chanting \u201cF-CK WHITE LIVES!\u201d after Karmelo Anthony\u2019s sentencing for murdering Austin Metcalf, my soul grieves,\u201d Reverend\u00a0 Wells began.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This isn\u2019t justice. This isn\u2019t \u201ccommunity.\u201d This is demonic hatred \u2014 plain and simple. All lives are made in the image of God. Every single one. Black, White, Brown \u2014 doesn\u2019t matter.<\/p>\n<p>Celebrating the loss of any innocent life, or cheering on evil because of skin color, is straight from the pit of hell.<br \/>\nAnd here\u2019s the truth they don\u2019t want you to say out loud: When Black conservatives, Christians, or truth-tellers like me call this out, we get labeled \u201ctraitors,\u201d \u201cUncle Toms,\u201d or \u201cbetrayers of the community.\u201d<br \/>\nLet them talk.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d rather be disliked by some in my own community than stand before a Holy God and be found guilty of excusing evil, hating my neighbor, or twisting justice for racial points.<br \/>\nMy allegiance is to Christ first \u2014 not color, not tribe, not political pressure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWoe to those who call evil good and good evil\u2026\u201d (Isaiah 5:20)<br \/>\nI choose truth over tribe. Light over darkness. God over man.<br \/>\nWho else is tired of the hate? Drop a \ud83d\ude4f if you stand for real justice \u2014 not skin color.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sports journalist and conservative political commentator Jason Whitlock wrote: \u201cSo-called \u2018black culture\u2019 teaches black people to aggressively troll white people in hopes of triggering \u2018disrespect\u2019 (aka N word or touching) that justifies violent physical conflict. \u2018Black culture\u2019 always seeks escalation of conflict, never peaceful resolution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Conservative activist CJ Pearson cut to the chase, stating on X, \u201cIf you want somebody who stabbed an innocent kid in the heart to get away with murder just because they have the same race as you, you\u2019re not doing anything for the black community.
