Following the sale, he relocated to Shanghai, China, where he reportedly shares an office with a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda outfit.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, Singham<span> has been a driving force behind <\/span>many of the destructive far-left demonstrations that have plagued the nation in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>He is married to Marxist antiwar agitator Jodie Evans, 71, who co-founded Code Pink with Medea Benjamin in 2002 to protest the Iraq War.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Evans launched a \u201cChina Is Not Our Enemy\u201d campaign, leading a series of webinars on Code Pink\u2019s YouTube page where she praised China\u2019s \u201cbeautiful history\u201d and Communist political structure.<\/p>\n<p>Evans is reportedly also under investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The grand jury probe, authorized by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and led by U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton in the Southern District of New York, comes as the Trump administration seeks to crack down on financial crimes in the multibillion-dollar nonprofit industry. According to <em> Fox News,<\/em> Singham has funneled approximately $285 million from China into a U.S. network of leftist and Marxist activist groups, including Code Pink and the People\u2019s Forum, through shell companies and dark money funds.<\/p>\n<p>The Maoist millionaire, according to <em>Fox<\/em>, has never registered as a foreign agent.<\/p>\n<p>Federal prosecutors have reportedly issued grand jury subpoenas seeking bank records and financial documents to determine whether criminal charges are warranted.<\/p>\n<p>Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent recently traveled to New York City\u00a0 to meet with Goldman Sachs Chairman and CEO David Solomon and discuss the company\u2019s philanthropic arm, GS Donor Advised Philanthropy Fund For Wealth Management (GS DAF), Fox reported.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>At that meeting, sources said, Bessent delivered a blunt ultimatum: Goldman Sachs could face scrutiny for alleged conspiracy in the funneling of the Singham money and urged Solomon to cooperate with federal investigators.<\/p>\n<p>Like many U.S. companies, Goldman Sachs has had a long business relationship with the Chinese Communist Party, with Solomon participating in a meeting, for example, on Nov. 4, 2025, with He Lifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Financial and Economic Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Solomon pledged his cooperation, according to sources. As previously reported, a Goldman spokesman told Fox News Digital that the company terminated its relationship with SIngham in February 2024 following an initial round of public scrutiny about his donations to far-left causes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Federal prosecutors, according to <em>Fox News<\/em> investigative reporter Asra Nomani, are analyzing the three-tiered financial structure of Singham\u2019s alleged money laundering: placement, layering and integration.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>STEP 1: ALLEGED PLACEMENT<\/strong><br \/>\nAccording to the reporting, approximately $278 million entered the U.S. financial system through three entities:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Mutod LLC \u2014 $164,040,000<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 GS Donor Advised Philanthropy Fund for Wealth Management Inc. (Goldman Sachs) \u2014 $110,376,701<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/urbaneconomynews.com\/?p=742\">Planned Parenthood Action Fund Targets House Republicans With Multi Million Dollar Campaign<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Likewise Conceptions LLC \u2014 $3,500,000<\/p>\n<p><strong>STEP 2: ALLEGED LAYERING<\/strong><br \/>\nThose funds were then allegedly routed through six nonprofit organizations:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 $167,540,000 to People\u2019s Support Foundation Ltd., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established with a hotel address in 2017 in Chicago and Singham\u2019s wife, Evans, on the board.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0$68,748,701 to Justice and Education Fund Inc., a 501(c)(3) established with a UPS Store address in 2018 in New York City with self-avowed communists, including Manola De Los Santos, on the board.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 $22,440,000 to People\u2019s Forum Inc., a 501(c)(3) established in 2017 on W. 37th Street in New York City with Evans and De Los Santos on the board.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 $16,760,000 to Tricontinental Ltd., a 501(c)(3) established in North Hampton, Mass., in 2017 by Singham friend and fellow Marxist ideologue Vijay Prashad.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 $1,330,000 to CodePink Women For Peace, a 501(c)(3) established in 2009 in Marina Del Ray, Calif., by Singham\u2019s wife, Evans, and her friend, Susan Medea Benjamin.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 $1,098,000 to Breakthrough BT Media Inc., a 501(c)(3) established in New York City in 2020 at the People\u2019s Forum headquarters with longtime American communist leader Brian Becker\u2019s son, Ben Becker, as editor-in-chief of its pro-communist propaganda outlet, Breakthrough News.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STEP 3: ALLEGED INTEGRATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the reporting, those organizations then distributed funding and support into a broader activist network that included:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 People\u2019s Welfare Association<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0ANSWER Coalition<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Party for Socialism and Liberation<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Numerous organizations operating across Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, North America and other regions.<\/p>\n<p>The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) describes itself\u00a0as a revolutionary socialist party that believes \u201conly a revolution can end capitalism and establish socialism.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In recent years, PSL has helped organize anti-ICE riots, anti-Police protests and Free Palestine demonstrations.<\/p>\n<p>As the main funder of The People\u2019s Forum, Singham, 72, has also bankrolled the \u201cFree Palestine\u201d protests that erupted after 1,400 innocent Israelis were slaughtered by Hamas on October 7, 2023.
