Two far-left agitators were arrested near the RNC midterm convention in Dallas Thursday— one for allegedly assaulting a counterprotester and the other for allegedly obstructing a road. The counterprotester reportedly did not require medical treatment.

As American Greatness previously reported, a coalition of far-left agitators announced last month that they would hold a protest on September 10 “to show the Trump regime they are not welcome.”
The Dallas Against the Trump Agenda coalition planned the demonstration, which includes the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression (NAARPR), the DFW Anti-War Committee, El Movimiento and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO).
The names of those arrested will be announced after they are booked into jail, police said.

A large number of Dallas police officers have been deployed to provide security around the American Airlines Center while the two-day RNC rally is taking place. The incidents reportedly happened about three blocks from the event.
An officer told American Greatness the agitators had gathered in a park outside the security perimeter for the convention. He could not guarantee whether it would be safe for attendees to walk back to their hotels after the convention.
