Obstructing efforts to secure our elections continues forward. The Supreme Court on Monday rejected the Trump administration’s attempt to immediately implement new Postal Service rules governing mail ballots, leaving lower-court injunctions in place for the Nov. 3 election. Justice Brett Kavanaugh concluded that even if parts of the rule might fall within USPS authority, imposing them now would be unreasonable because election officials lack enough time to implement the changes; Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas dissented. As I wrote yesterday, the plan was to drag the legal process out to the point where it’s too late to implement changes. Mail in ballots are a key vector in the left’s vote fraud apparatus and should be dismantled entirely or at least regulated to the point where fraud is very difficult. Alas, perhaps there will be progress for the 2028 election.
The Trump administration’s EPA moved Monday to repeal Biden-era restrictions on greenhouse-gas emissions from coal- and natural-gas-fired power plants. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin argues the change will reduce electricity costs and prevent federal regulation from forcing coal and gas generation out of the market; environmental groups say it will increase emissions and public-health costs. The “environment” has always been used to punish businesses and burden them with absurd regulations that serve only to put them out of business or raise prices to the point where people cannot afford to use the service that have been deemed undesirable by the left. Zeldin did a good thing here, let’s buckle up for the eventual lawsuits. The left has some pie in the sky plan for “alternative energy” that does not exist while simultaneous punishing our existing reliable energy sources. Where does that leave us? Eating bugs in the dark.

Trump forcefully rejected calls from leading technology executives for stronger AI guardrails, arguing that “WHOEVER WINS AI, WINS” and that restrictions could surrender America’s advantage over China. The debate follows warnings from leading AI executives that frontier systems are advancing faster than society’s ability to control them. Of course, the sudden pearl clutching and safety concern about AI is really just an influence operation. Here’s a thread by Omri Ceren on X that explains how this paradigm works, and it’s not just AI, this is the paradigm for all the random “moral panics” that surface on social media and on the “news sites.” If someone is pushing to slow down AI development, they are almost certainly on China’s payroll.
