A minister at James Talarico’s liberal church in Austin admitted to an undercover journalist that the far-left Democrat has been deceptively shifting his positions to trick moderate Texans into voting for him.

“He’s getting some advice that I don’t think he should be following,” said Reverand Babs Miller, 83, a lesbian minister at the parish at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. “I can guarantee you that once he gets elected, he’ll change his tune back to where he was.”
The stunning undercover footage was exclusively obtained by the Daily Wire.
In a previous interview, Miller stated that the congregation at St. Andrew’s is mostly made up of agnostics and atheists, another stunning revelation that would shock most Christians.
“If you polled our members and asked if they were Christian, agnostic or atheist, the vast majority would say agnostic or atheist, she said, “because they don’t buy the religion that we inven—that we got from the Puritans.”
In this alarming video, first published by Townhall last week, Rev. Miller also stated that most of the congregation at St. Andrew’s believe that the assassination attempt against President Donald Trump in July 2024 had been “more successful.”
Talarico is locked in a close race for U.S. Senate against Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, whose campaign has been hampered by allegations of corruption.
Conservatives have made much of Talarico’s embarrassing record of outlandishly woke views, including his assertion that “God is nonbinary,” his distaste for meat, and his vocal support for drag queens, and “transgender youth.”
The Senate hopeful raised eyebrows recently when he was able to instantly name his favorite “drag queen” when asked by a reporter. His choice, Alyssa Edwards, describes himself as “a drag performer who works with children.”
Amid near constant blowback over his disturbing views, the Democrat has lately attempted to moderate his tone, telling Fox News in an interview that some of his past positions “missed the mark.”

“Every sport has to be safe and fair. As a former public-school teacher, I care a lot about our student athletes. And so, I will oppose trans athletes playing in girls’ sports if it risks safety or fairness,” Talarico said.
This answer contradicts his actions in the Texas House, where he voted against a bill in 2021, that required public-school athletes to compete according to the biological sex listed on their birth certificates.
Talarico also told Fox News he would “absolutely” support a national ban on gender-transition surgeries for minors. However, in 2023, the Democrat voted against Texas legislation restricting sex-change surgeries for minors.
When the undercover journalist told Miller that Republicans were attacking Talarico over his “God is non-binary” comment, the 83-year-old responded, “Duh,” indicating agreement with the blasphemous assertion.
The undercover journalist then suggested Talarico had to “play this game,” and Miller nodded her head in agreement.
“That’s what his campaign has convinced him of,” Miller said. “The Democratic Party is backing off on their stances on trans and all of this, and so his staff is encouraging him to kind of do the same thing, just for the next 50 weeks, whatever days.”
She added: “I think it’s bad advice personally, but if it helps him win, okay.”
National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Regional Press Secretary Samantha Cantrell responded to the new revelations in a press release:
“James Talarico is trying to whitewash his radical record because he knows it is too radical for Texas,” said Cantrell. “But voters won’t forget that he believes ‘God is nonbinary’, wants to give sex change surgeries to kids, and would eliminate Texas’ oil and gas industry.”
