Many Americans are rightfully alarmed by the stated positions of the “Democratic” Socialists, as they seem to be outside of the common ground of most Americans’ beliefs regarding our government. But we should not be surprised… the DSA is merely stating the end to which the Democrat Party has been moving for the last hundred years: creating our everyday battlegrounds today. Our founding Constitution is a social compact and document of law dedicated to limiting the federal government and separating its powers equally between legislative, judicial, and executive branches. Woodrow Wilson himself created the unenumerated power of the Administrative State, whose present-day 435 agencies combine those three powers within every one of those agencies through the making of rules with the effect of laws, by adjudicating cases within agencies and executing punishments, making the Administrative State’s power unilateral, unlimited, and the devoted creature of a Democrat Party dedicated to the unlimited growth of a centralized government.
A large portion of the Constitution deals with the process of voting the representatives of the people into congressional office and the limitations of those offices and the length of their tenures between elections so that those elected are always representative of the people. The unenumerated Administrative State’s bureaucratic offices are filled by appointment and effectively have lifetime tenure. In which body of our hybrid government do you think there is more power? In 2023, Congress passed 27 laws on a constitutional basis by elected representatives. In the same year, the federal registry amassed 90,402 pages of rules that have the effect of laws—rules written by persons that no one ever elected…
Our founding was based on federalism, which recognized the distinct powers of states, as written into the 10th Amendment: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Those powers have been overtaken ever since the institution of the progressive national income tax, which takes the wealth of the whole nation into one central government and repays the states based mainly on their compliance with Democrat Party policy.
Our free enterprise economy was based on the 1776 publication of Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations, in which Smith justly claimed, “little else is requisite to carry a state to the highest degree of opulence from the lowest barbarism but peace, easy taxes, and a tolerable administration of justice: all the rest being brought about by the natural course of things.” But the Democrat Party, since the presidency of FDR, has used the Administrative State to take control of our economy through regulatory, quasi-socialist command, principally in the healthcare, housing, energy, and financial sectors, all to the cost of taxpayers and consumers.
During LBJ’s presidency, the government redefined poverty to include 13 percent of the U.S. population, thereby justifying “Great Society” legislation, which turned our rights of title to the property of our merited earnings into an industrial-scale redistribution of assets from those who earned title to them to those deemed “entitled” to them. Since the advent of the Great Society, $25 trillion has been redistributed to “eradicate poverty”; after 60 years of spending, the poverty rate is 13 percent. There are now 90 agencies dealing with the lifelong dependency of 60,000,000 people at the cost of $1 trillion to American taxpayers per year.
Concentrating power and wealth in an unanswerable, unenumerated center of power, controlling the economy through that same power center, and redistributing wealth on a massive scale to secure the dependency of millions under one political party are all socialist goals that the Democrat Party has accomplished incrementally—that are diametrically opposed to the virtues of our constitutional founding.

Welcome to the new America; these are all socialist operations, diametrically opposed to the reconciling virtues of our nation’s founding as a constitutional republic. The “party” name Democratic no longer applies.
