The altercation allegedly happened as Secretary of State Marco Rubio was testifying before the House Foreign Affairs Committee regarding the FY2027 State Department budget request and the ongoing war with Iran.

“The head honcho of Code Pink here on Capitol Hill decided to try to harass me as I was leaving my hearing with Rubio and smacked my arm,” Luna posted on X following the confrontation.  “I have no issues answering questions but the moment you touch me you cross a line.”

Luna added in a subsequent post that the alleged assault happened after she questioned the secretary about Code Pink’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), saying “their organization followed me out, berated me, and then their head person here in DC smacked me. I will be filing charges.”

Code Pink’s DC Coordinator is Pam Bailey, a longtime pro-Palestine activist who has been banned and deported from Israel.

Luna has accused Code Pink of being “foreign-funded and directly tied to China” and called for the organization to be banned from the Capitol, claims that the group categorically denies as false and libelous.

While the group is funded primarily by individual donations and grants from far-left U.S. foundations, a significant amount of donations is tied to billionaire Neville Roy Singham, the husband of Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans.

According to reports, approximately 25 percent of the organization’s donations since 2017 have come from two groups linked to Singham, who resides in Shanghai and has faced allegations of aligning with the CCP.

“Mr. Singham, in total, has given $1.3 million to an organization called Code Pink, as well as over $278 million to various nonprofits since 2017,” Luna stated during the hearing Wednesday. The congresswoman told Rubio that she believed many countries, like China, engage in influence operations to undermine U.S foreign policy and contribute to the “political divide” in the country.

Luna later stated on X that Rubio had “confirmed what we’ve all suspected.”

Foreign governments are actively using disinformation campaigns and influencer psyops to undermine our foreign policy and rip our country apart.

Look no further than Neville Roy Singham and the “left wing radical loons” from Code Pink who are working with communists in China and Cuba.

There is nothing organic about these destructive psyops.

Following the alleged assault, Luna called on Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) to ban the disruptive group from attending House hearings.

“I have asked the Speaker to ban Code Pink. I was just physically hit by their head organizer,” Luna wrote on X. “This is right after I questioned Secretary Rubio about them. It is time Speaker Johnson ban them.”

“Why does the Left actively promote, work with, and support radical insurrectionists from Code Pink who are physically assaulting members (myself) on Capitol Hill?” she stated on X. “Condemning political violence should not be partisan, yet it becomes increasingly clear there is only ONE side that continues to condone it.”

Luna later noted that her staff witnessed the assault and have submitted statements for the police.
