A violent repeat offender was arrested in Charlotte, North Carolina, Thursday after randomly attacking women on the streets of the city, causing at least one serious injury.

Di-Quan Schafar Hunt, a 32-year-old Charlotte resident, reportedly livestreamed the horrifying assaults on his own Instagram account, which helped the police identify and locate him.
Disturbing video footage shows him ranting about something that happened on July 21, and then crossing paths with a petite woman holding a get-well balloon.
“Naw, don’t wave to me,” he said, before punching her to the ground. He continued ranting and punching the woman in the face as she laid unconscious on the sidewalk, still clutching her balloon.
The woman was reportedly hospitalized with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. The assault was reported on July 30 in Charlotte’s Dilworth neighborhood.
Another video shows him ranting incoherently about his son Elijah and taking a swing at another woman as she was walking down the sidewalk. “What’s up with that McDonald’s sh-t,” Hunt hollered. “You Donald Trump muthaf-cka and that other muthaf -cka that raped my son Elijah, I’m gonna kill you n-gga!” he ranted.

The woman sprinted into the street and sought refuge around a slow-moving car, which seemed to keep the predator at bay.
“Shut the f-ck up n-gga,” he railed as he walked away.
Hunt has an extensive criminal history, with fourteen prior arrests for charges that include assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct, breaking or entering, injury to personal property, probation violations, and multiple domestic violence protective order violations, second-degree trespassing and misconduct by a prisoner.
He repeatedly received only short prison sentences credited as time served. In March of this year, Hunt was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. The dangerous thug was walking the streets in August courtesy of a plea deal from Judge Joseph Setzer Jr., according to N.C. based journalist Matt Van Swol on X.
Hunt was taken into custody Thursday evening and transported to a medical facility for a mental evaluation, WJZY reported. From there, he is expected to be transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, where he faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
