Well, well, well, what have we here? Brazil’s presidential election is headed to a runoff after no candidate secured a majority in Sunday’s voting. The contest includes Trump ally Senator Flávio Bolsonaro and corrupt leftist President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, whose competing political movements have dominated Brazilian politics in recent years. If you recall back in January 2025 when Trump took office, he began the process of cutting off USAID money which serves to prop up left-wing dictators across the globe while masquerading as “help” and “aid.” Now we see the left wing candidate Lula unable to lead the pack in the election, garnering fewer votes than Bolsonaro. Do you wonder if those two events are related? I bet they are.
The United States has withdrawn bombers from RAF Fairford in Britain following the arrest of five British nationals suspected of planning a terror attack involving the base. RAF Fairford is used by the U.S. military for bomber deployments. “We can acknowledge now that all U.S. bombers that were deployed to RAF Fairford have re-deployed to their home stations in the United States,” a department official said. British authorities are investigating the alleged plot, and the possible connection to Iran remains under investigation. This sounds like another case of “we may never know.” British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said last week “there are strong indications that Iran played a part” in the attempted terror attack. We probably won’t hear much more about this “investigation” as it is moving in an unsavory direction.

Finally, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday that Iran is heading toward a week in which it will have no oil at sea and no oil revenue, which he described as unprecedented. Iranian officials are simultaneously warning of an increasingly severe economic crisis. Not only has their oil revenue dried up, their currency hit a record low with inflation at 70 percent. The U.S. is allowing international energy traffic through the strait while continuing to block Iranian exports. It’s not looking good for the IRGC, their downfall can not come soon enough.
