Two minutes of hate:
Iran continues making desperate threats against the United States. Iranian national-security official Mohsen Rezaei said Sunday that Tehran considers Washington’s latest response to its demands over the Strait of Hormuz insufficient. Rezaei warned that American-linked undersea communications cables, data centers, and artificial-intelligence facilities throughout the Gulf could become targets if military operations resume. He estimated that the region contains more than $2 trillion in American-linked technology infrastructure. Such actions would not only impact American properties, they would interfere with the operations in the friendly European nations as well as China and Russia. The IRGC threats are most likely bluster and indicative of the Iran’s crippled condition as they can’t sell their oil and the Iranian currency is virtually useless.

President Donald Trump announced Sunday that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to an immediate ceasefire covering attacks on each other’s energy infrastructure. Trump made the announcement on Truth Social, declaring that both sides had agreed and warning them not to violate the arrangement. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had not been informed of a finalized agreement and indicated that Ukraine would participate if Russia also complied. The Kremlin has not publicly confirmed the arrangement. The announcement follows Trump’s October 9 agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin to increase Russian diesel supplies to American and international markets to combat inflation. On Sunday, six senators from both parties (you know who they are on the Republican side, I don’t have to tell you) issued a statement demanding that Trump reverse the arrangement, arguing that relaxing restrictions on Russian energy could provide Moscow with additional revenue for its war against Ukraine.

What is with these ridiculous hurricane names? What happened to Hurricane Alice or Hurricane Frank? The remnants of Hurricane Isaias continued moving north Sunday after the storm killed at least four people and caused widespread destruction across Florida and Alabama. The hurricane made landfall Friday near Destin, Florida, as a Category 2 storm with sustained winds of approximately 105 mph. nearly 396,000 electricity customers across the Florida Panhandle and southern Alabama remained without power early Sunday. That represented an improvement from Saturday, when outages had approached 900,000 across several southeastern states.
