Good Tuesday morning.
Here is what’s on President Trump’s agenda today:
8:00 AM THE PRESIDENT participates in Executive Time
2:00 PM THE PRESIDENT delivers Remarks in Corpus Christi, Texas
6:00 PM THE PRESIDENT delivers Remarks in Lubbock, Texas
Two minutes of hate:
President Trump announced Monday that he would offer a $1 million reward for information about voter fraud that leads to an arrest and conviction, including fraud involving past elections or the upcoming 2026 midterms. Trump made the announcement on Truth Social later confirming the offer to reporters. He also denounced Brazil’s presidential election as “another rigged election,” questioning the legitimacy of leftist President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s victory over conservative Flavio Bolsonaro by more than 4 million votes. Trump cited a two-hour extension of voting as suspicious, describing the election as corrupt. I wrote about Brazil’s suspicious election yesterday.

The announcement follows the Justice Department efforts to combat election fraud, particularly illegal voting by noncitizens. On Monday, the DOJ announced charges against 48 noncitizens for election-related crimes, following 16 additional cases disclosed earlier in October.
Will $1 million and aggressive prosecution be enough to stop voter fraud? At the very least it might disincentivize some fraud. The real problem isn’t your garden variety ballot stuffing. It’s systemic, as the progressives say. States like California, currently being sued by the feds because they won’t remove illegal voters from their voter rolls, don’t verify voter eligibility. They don’t ask voters if they are eligible when they register to vote and recently admitted they have no way of verifying the legal status of people on the voter rolls. California isn’t breaking the law because they created the state law to facilitate fraud. Similarly, states like Nevada mail ballots to every address and there is no way to know if the person or persons who fill out those ballots are legally registered voters. Additionally, Nevada law doesn’t require voter identification at the polls to cast a ballot. Other, more serious voter fraud tricks include ballot harvesting at places like memory care homes, motor voter automatic voter registration, and the very suspicious ballot drop boxes/chain of custody problems. If it were up to me, there would be no early voting and no ballot drop boxes. Vote on election day or I assume you don’t care enough to vote. That’s how we used to do it.
States run by progressives and communists rig the system just like they have rigged all of the government bureaucracies and credentialing institutions. If you’ve ever wondered why certain states refuse to let the feds vet their voter rolls against death records, social security records, and immigration records, this is why. They don’t want to know about illegal voters because it is in their political interest not to know.
More on the election front: a three-judge panel of the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday rejected an emergency Justice Department request to prevent California election officials from counting approximately 20,000 ballots cast by voters whose citizenship the Trump administration has questioned. The court ruled 2-1 that it lacked jurisdiction because a federal district court had not yet considered the administration’s request. Trump-appointed Judge Mark Bennett and Biden-appointed Judge Gabriel Sanchez also expressed doubts about the request’s constitutionality and feasibility. Bennett argued that the Constitution assigns election administration authority to states and Congress, not the executive branch, while Sanchez warned that changing election procedures days before the Nov. 3 midterms could create widespread confusion. Trump-appointed Judge Patrick Bumatay dissented, arguing that the federal government has the constitutional authority to prevent potentially illegal votes from affecting election results.
The Justice Department maintains that allowing the disputed ballots to be counted before voters’ citizenship can be verified would cause irreparable harm because ballots cannot be identified and separated once processed. California officials counter that the administration’s allegations rely on flawed data and that segregating thousands of ballots so close to Election Day would be unconstitutional and logistically unworkable. The appellate majority criticized the administration for creating its own emergency through delays in filing its lawsuit and seeking relief. California Attorney General Rob Bonta and Gov. Gavin Newsom welcomed the ruling, while federal prosecutors declined to comment. The dispute now returns to U.S. District Judge David Carter, who is scheduled to hear arguments Tuesday, with more than 3 million ballots already cast statewide ahead of the midterm elections.
Kudos to the Trump administration for pressing the issue but this is something that should have happened last year. People are already voting and the DOJ is correct to argue that once those ballots are cast, there’s no way to identify who cast them. The case is not over yet, as this particular hearing was about an emergency motion to stop counting the illegal ballots. The DOJ’s lawsuit demands California confirm the eligibility of 20,000 suspected illegal voters and arguments will be heard today on that matter.
I am not optimistic.
